Our Mission
Thousands of boys, girls and their families in Africa are waiting for someone to give them hope and reassurance for the future. To Love a Child brings that hope through its many programs that are funded by generous donors like you. With your gift desperately poor children can receive nutritious food, clean drinking water, medical care, educational supplies, solar power for education, spiritual support, love and friendship so vital to growing up healthy in mind, body and spirit.
Where We Work
To Love a Child, Inc. has several project sites throughout Africa. We work closely with the Ministry of Health and Education to provide the training and education necessary to provide the highest of quality of programs.
What We Do
1. Provide supplemental nutrition to promote healthy eating
2. Provide solar power for electricity and computer technology
3. Plant vegetable and herb gardens to improve food supplies
4. Provide spiritual support and friednship to bring hope
5. Provide mosquito nets to protect children and families from Malaria
6. Provide access to clean drinking water–one of life’s most basic needs
7. Provide school supplies, furniture and equipment
8. Provide transportation for the critically ill to hospitals and clinics
9. Provide emergency funds for prescription medications
10. Provide first aide ointments, medications and supplies
11. Provide training and education for adults
12. Provide personal hygiene supplies
13. Create art exchange programs with children from the United States
14. Create entrepreneurial projects to provide income and jobs
To Love a Child makes every effort to align its programs with the United Nations Millennium Development Goals of eradicating poverty and hunger, achieving universal education, promoting gender equality, reducing child mortality, improving maternal health, combating HIV/AIDS and malaria, ensuring environmental sustainability and developing a global partnership for development.
