HAITI: Our first aide clinic in Haiti is a busy little place. Nurse Janet is at the helm and we help as much as we can. Unfortunately, with the current violence and unrest within the country there is little we can do at this time but to provide financial assistance when needed.
Patients come to the clinic for vitamins, medicine, treatment, tender loving care and referrals to more advanced care facilities. From the distribution of eye glasses to the funding of surgery everything we do is needed and appreciated.
Recently, we have funded advanced medical care for 8 patients and shipped three barrels of supplies to the clinic.
ZIMBABWE: Mission trips are so important because it allows us to see to the medical needs of the communities we serve. On each trip we host a clinic. People arrive by foot, in wagons pulled by oxen and on horseback. We distribute personal hygiene supplies such as soap, washcloths, razors, reusable sanitary pads, panties, tooth brushes, tooth paste and so much more. Children receive handmade dolls. We also always hold an eyeglass clinic where we distribute prescription eyeglasses, reading glasses and sunglasses.
