In 2019 it was estimated that over half the country’s population would require food aid to survive in 2020. At the time, they did not know that COVID-19 would add further hardship to the scenario. Serious drought conditions have caused a very poor harvest and the people we have come to love so dearly in the villages we serve are desperate for food. This week we have sent emergency funds for mealie meal, rice, sugar and other staples until food aid from larger international organizations can be secured. Your prayers for the people of Zimbabwe, and all people across the globe suffering from food insecurity, is appreciated.
