Our project manager in Zimbabwe called a special meeting of the women and village leaders last week to announce the building of a Women's and Children's Center. The women were over joyed and are looking forward to begin construction. Everyone at the meeting truly appreciates this development in their village saying that it will make a big difference in their lives and for the future generations. "It is a dream come true! One woman said. "I have seen the hand of God at work and when my time comes to rest, I will rest peaceful in eternity". Our project manager saw tears of joy.
The photos above show the women dancing and celebrating the good news while the photo below shows two village heads proudly standing on the land that will soon become the Women and Children's Center. Thank you Soroptimist International of Saratoga County for making this dream a reality. |
