Seven women were introduced to solar cooking while we were in Haiti. Over the weeks and months ahead the women will experiment with the new solar oven to cook such things as rice, beans, vegetables, meat and bread. Eventually, they will teach the students how to use the ovens. We hope to bring more solar units to our little village so we can help the environment by not cutting down trees to use for fuel. Haiti suffers from major deforestation.
